What do you do when you only have $20??
You go to the casino of course!
Yesterday, I had a claim to look at in Fort Lauderdale and talked Huck into going with me to Ikea. I wanted to look for stuff for the wedding. I found some table decorations and a pack of 100 tea lights for $3! Score!!
On our way home, Huck asked if I wanted to be spontaneous. Sure… Why not.
Next stop, Hard Rock Casino.
We planned to spend $20 (originally it was $10 but the smallest bill from the ATM was 20).
Our plan was to stick the $20 in and first bet, win $100,000. That didn’t happen.
We did get back up to $19.90, and I told Huck we should go home. Our fun night would of only cost $0.10!
But then, we got over $20. I was fine going home ahead, but greed took over.
And that is when our luck ran out. I played the last of the money on a penny machine. We did pretty good though. We were there an hour with our $20, and casinos make for the best people watching!!
The people around us probably thought we were crazy, too. When we got over $20, we both started yelling “Cash out”! Cash out!” We acted like we won $1000!
We enjoyed our spontaneous outing. I don’t picture us going back anytime soon, though. I was pretty depressed we wasted $20. I don’t know how some people can just throw away $1000s in a night.
Now, I’m going to curl up on the couch. I feel horrible today. My nose is running, my head hurts, and I feel like I’m going to sneeze all the time! Damn cold!!
Also, Huck and I are planning our Honeymoon in Denver. Let me know if you have any recommendations for places to go while we are there. I want to spend a few days in Denver and go skiing and enjoy the mountains.
