Yesterday, me, Huck, and Oopie went to the beach… In the rain. We were determined to go hangout on the beach, yesterday. Rain or Shine.
It sprinkled on us the whole time we were there. Oopie didn’t seem to care. As long as the big waves didn’t come get him, he was fine!!
Wedding Stuff
Wedding stuff is, I guess, coming along. Nothing major to report. I used my work program to diagram the clubhouse (I was really bored) and figured out table layouts. I am ordering the chairs and tables tomorrow.
We decided to do cupcakes for the wedding cake, too. I called a local cupcake place for pricing and they wanted $3 a cupcake!! I asked the ladies at the Publix Bakery how much they would cost and they said $0.58 each!! And Publix Bakery is awesome. They win. I’m usually for supporting local businesses but not when it cost me $200 extra.
We are meeting with (I’m not sure what to call him) “the guy that is marrying us” on Wednesday to discuss the ceremony.
That is about all the new stuff going on with the wedding. I get anxiety every time I see the count down on the blog! 25 more days! AWWWW
Oh and Saturday is my Pseudo-Bachelorette Party. With all the work we have, I didn’t get a chance to go home, so Deena is taking me out. I’m already prepared to spend all day Sunday on the couch! Originally, it was going to be whole weekend event, but I have a meeting in Tampa on Friday. I’m kind of thankful. I don’t know if I could hang all weekend!!
Honeymoon
Originally, our plan was to go to Denver for a few days. I wanted to go some where with a climate completely different from Florida. And neither of us have been.
Today, while we were wasting time at Dunkin Donuts, we decided (Really, I decided and Huck agreed) that a cruise would be the easier/more relaxing way to go. I enjoy cruises, too. Huck and I went on one 3 years ago and had a great time, and we made a lot of friends we still talk to today!

Now, you may be thinking, “You said you wanted a different climate!?” Our plan is go visit our friends up north in Minnesota, instead. We have talked about it for years now, and we owe them a visit. And I know we will have a great time. They were always telling US about great places to go to in Atlanta. I lived there my whole life and they seen more in the one day than I did in 26 years. I’m 100% it would be a go-go-go trip!
The best part of this deal… we get two vacations for the price of one. And I still get to see the snow, skiing, and to wear boots and scarfs
With the holidays coming up soon, we will not visit them until January, but we picked out the cruise tonight. So, I can officially mark the Honeymoon off the list thanks to my cousin. If you’re interested in booking a cruise, let me know, and I’ll give you her info. She helped us get a great deal on a 5 night (Huck can’t be away from work for too long) cruise to Mexico and Belize. And it is on the Liberty of the Sea. It is HUGE and has a skating rink, rock wall, and surfing. 5 days of drinking fruity drinks, eating, and spending time with my Husband! I can’t wait!!
