Someone has a birthday tomorrow!
Huck will be a whooping 32 years old! It makes me feel old just thinking about it.
You may remember my gift for him last year.
This is what happens when you’re unemployed!
This year, I have a job, but another problem. How do you purchase a gift for someone, when you have a joint checking account. During my unemployed days (I like to refer to it as my Semi-Retired life), Huck added me to his accounts. He got tired of me asking for his card because my account was… sad!
My bank was also charging me a ridiculous amount of money each month because I no longer had direct deposit.
I may have to open a new account just for times like this. It would also come in handy, so he doesn’t see how much I spend on Amazon every month. That damn Buy It Now 1-Click button gets me every time. It is way to easy to buy download books. I’ve read 24 books this year. I don’t think I’ve read that many in my whole life.
I’m sure Huck will like what I have planned, though.
Running
Tonight, we started week two of Couch to 5K. We did a 5 minute warm up, then ran for 1.5 minutes and walked for 2 minutes for a total of 25. We totaled 2 miles. WOW! We take Oopie with us for the 5 minute warm up. He’s not built for running. Ginny loves it though.
Huck is a big help, too. He keeps up with the time, encourages me to keep going, and tells me I’m doing good. He does the same thing with work. It’s so nice having my own cheerleader!
