I really do. When I first started experimenting with craft beer, I thought they were horrible. How could anyone drink something so bitter and… gross? Over the years, I’ve started to enjoy and love the taste of craft beer, but bitter isn’t something you love overnight. I would drink an IPA but did not enjoy it as much as other beers.
My first craft beer I actually liked was Sweetwater Blue. Huck liked 420 and IPA, but I couldn’t drink it without making a face… ewww!
Sweetwater is an Atlanta Brewery and until a few weeks ago, we could only get their beer when we went home… And Huck would stock up.
The other night, I was marinating some Steak. I used some of the IPA in my marinated and started drinking the rest of it. Then it hit me… “I really like this!! Like really like it”. Before, I would just drink it so it wasn’t wasted, but I was really enjoying it. It wasn’t too bitter, and I wanted another one.
It’s amazing how much your taste changes. I always thought I just didn’t have the taste buds for bitter beers.
It’s also funny I’m confessing my love for a beer I once said I would/could never love!
Never say never!!
Now on to lunch…
Lunch yesterday was great {Minus the undercooked Couscous! I was hungry!!}
Did you know beer is a great meat tenderizer? Yep! Really, beer can do it all! It taste good, it brings people together, helps you dance, helps you make poor life choices {Is that a good thing?} and it even tenderizes meat {Insert inappropriate jokes here}!
I cut my steak into large pieces and marinated them in beer, Worcestershire sauce, and Huck’s spicy steak seasoning. I left it in the fridge over night and cooked it to medium rare the following day for lunch with some grilled veggies and pineapple. It was all the ingredients of Kabobs without having to spend all the time putting meat and veggies on sticks. I’m way to lazy for that!
When I make Kabobs, I always take everything off the stick and mix it together anyways. It’s kind of like Kabob Stir Fry.
I hope you enjoy!
Now, I’m off to find a boat. It’s been raining for two days straight. Not typical South Florida weather {I say that like some expert that’s lived here my whole life}.
What is a beer you like now that you hated before?

Ya know I’ve always marinated my steaks in beer. Your right it makes the steak so tender. Hopefully the rain has stopped, after the rain we had here, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. ( Even if their praying for it)
