May was crazy for us! It was crazy last year too. We had a great time this month, minus all the time in the car.
I did not meet my goals for this month. Wasn’t even close. But we were on the road for 2 full weeks, so I’m cutting myself some slack.
Photo A Day- May
May 1st- Started the month off right! Growler Friday.
May 2nd- Working on Saturday= trip to LauderAle.
May 3rd- Enjoyed some refreshing Strawberry Beer Margarita.
May 4th- Had an amazing lunch at Aji Carbon in Miami. The cerviche was incredible.
And espresso is always a great afternoon pick-me-up!
May 5th- Experimented with Mojo Pork.
May 6th- Went to out for lunch. Fried biscuits! Yum!
May 7th- Rowed 5.72 miles and found a $1. I noticed it attached to one of the oars while we were rowing. My membership for the row club equals about $1 per day, so I rowed for free that day 🙂
May 8th- Rowed 5.72 miles all by myself. The last miles was the worst mile of my life. I felt like dying after! Everything hurt.
May 9th- Went to Brass Tap and House of Brews with some friends in Jenson Beach.
May 10th- Bought a new suitcase after mine broke in the Denver airport. Am I the only nerd that gets excited about a new suitcase?? It’s pretty awesome though and has a hard shell and loads of space. Perfect for transporting beer.
May 11th- They decided I needed to get up!
May 12th- Started our journey to Georgia.
May 13th- Kentucky Beer Exploring
May 14th- Nashville

May 21st- Miami again. Plus a stop a 26 Degree.
May 22nd- Oh MIA AGAIN! This time for a conference at the Marlins stadium. Pretty cool location minus the fact it was outside and humid.
May 23rd- Trip to Jacksonville! So much time in the car this month. We did have a delicious lunch at Little Saigon Cafe in Jacksonville and met up with an old friend we haven’t seen in years at Intracoastal Brewing Co in Melbourne. (If you’re counting that’s 8 new breweries in May. 11 breweries in total}
May 24th- One whole day at home for the first time in over 2 weeks. I downloaded a book and didn’t move from the couch!!
May 25th- Spent the day reading and enjoying the beach.

May 30th- Spend the whole day cooking for future blog post and made a couple dishes for a cookout with friends. They made smoked meatloaf! I made berry Berliner Weisse no bake cheesecake with a shortbread crust.
May 31st- Sunday at the beach.
That was May! 5 states and 0ver 5,500 in one month. I can’t imagine how many hours in the car that adds up to be. Eww! Next month, we’ll be checking off another state with our trip to Boston for my birthday. Can’t wait!
Until then, stay tuned for some super yummy recipes.
