Photo A Day- July, August, and September

Well, it’s been a while. A couple months to be exact. Since I started this blog 4 years ago this month {CRAZY RIGHT??} I’ve never gone more than 2 weeks without posting something, but with work being so crazy busy lately,  I decided to not worry about the blog for a little while.

In July, I started working for another company plus the company I was already working with. We were working from the time we woke up until time for bed. I didn’t have time to do anything let alone make a recipe, photograph it, and write a blog post. I kind of forgot about blogging for awhile, but then, a few weeks ago, I really started to miss it. I missed cooking and taking pictures of food. I missed experimenting with beers. I missed all of it.

So, after 3 months without blogging, I’m ready to start again. I like my little blog. I like sharing recipes and stories. I also like keeping up with what’s going on in my life. I literally just spent the last hour reading old post 🙂 I’m going to start with a quick photo a day post for the month of July, August, and September. I don’t really have a lot of photos from that time because most of my days were spent working at my computer or driving. Here’s a little recap of the few things I did that didn’t involve work.

JULY

July 4th- Baseball game and fireworks at Roger Dean Stadium.

July 5th- Beach day with my two favorite wieners. Of course the dog gets the chair and Huck has to sit on the ground.

July 11th- We went to Shakespeare by the Sea to see Hamlet. I love Shakespeare and Hamlet is one of the plays I’ve read multiple times, so I was pretty excited about this one. The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival’s productions are original to the plays. I had a feeling Huck wasn’t going to enjoy the show just because it can be really had to understand. He said he enjoyed it, but I told him I’m okay going by myself next year. I think he’ll be okay with that too 🙂

July 17-19th- I attended the Food and Wine Conference #FWCon

July 25th- Huck won first place at the Palm Beach Summer Beer Fest for the second year in a row! We celebrated with tacos again.

AUGUST

August was a really rough month. It included a few trips back and forth to Tampa, and maybe a few meltdowns about working so much with no days off. I had a meltdown at one point about needing a purpose to my life other than work. Then I got sick! Twice. It was rough. August was also the month that I started working out. Once I started feeling better, it was the only thing I could do during the day besides work and it was a really nice break. It actually made me really start to love working out.

August 1st- Helped TBC and Twisted Trunk at the Baseball and Brews event.

August 7th- No trip to Tampa is complete without the fan! And it fits perfectly in my suitcase.

August 9th- After working 16+ hours the day before and waking up before the sun came up to work another 18+ hour day including driving back from Tampa, the sunrise at the hotel was a nice treat.

August 11th- It was a really hard day. The beer I got while in Tampa came in handy. So did the bottle of Advil.

August 17th- London was in need of a haircut but we were too busy. Problem solved.

August 18th- Spent the weekend decorating the house. It was something to do that didn’t involve work. When we buy a house, we plan to upgrade the sofa. Then London will be banned for them… he just said yea right!

August 21st- Celebrated 26° Degree passing all their inspections with our special bottle of Honey Boo Boo.

August 22nd- Found my new favorite Indian restaurant in Boca Raton. It’s right off 95 and so good! I ate here twice in two days when I was sick.

August 23rd- I finally cooked something besides chicken and veggies. These coffee spiced ribs were amazing.  Some of the best ribs I’ve had thanks to Huck and his spice blends.

August 30th- Huck finally found the perfect truck.

August 31st- We used the truck to take the kayaks out. It is a million times easier to load and upload them now.

SEPTEMBER

September was a little better with work. Still kind of busy, but I remember having more days off luckily.

September 1st- Stopped by 26° Degree to see the progress. The tables are amazing! That’s grain around the outside.

September 12th- Enjoyed watching football while working. Working on Saturday isn’t’ so bad during football season.

September 17th- Enjoyed our first official beer at the soft opening of 26° Degree. Huck’s IPA was one of the beers 26° Degree brewed and they’re currently serving it in their taproom.

September 19th- Celebrated a very special 1st birthday. Look at that smile!

September 24th- Me and my trusty ladder on the road again. I can get on most one story roofs with it, and it fits in the hybrid. Best $100 I’ve ever spent.

That’s it! July-September and a new blog post. WOW! I actually have an recipe I can share too. It’s a perfect recipe now that it’s getting cold. I was originally going to share it during the summer time but never got a chance. Maybe I’ll share it later this week. Hopefully it doesn’t take me another 3 months.
