Our Honeymoon Part 1

We’re back! After 5 glorious days of not worrying about anything, it is time to get back to reality

Day 1- Leaving Port

Our cruise started Saturday. We boarded our ship, Liberty of the Sea, in Fort Lauderdale.  We spent most of our day laying in lounge chairs, drinking fruity drinks, and watching college football.

We wondered around until our luggage arrived in our room. After 5 days, I still do not think we seen half the stuff on the boat. Huck spent the whole trip lost.

We didn’t leave port until after dark, but I took some nice pictures of the sunset.

And a picture of a smaller ship leaving the port. It seems like a tight squeeze.

I got a picture of Fort Lauderdale, as we were going to sea. You could see the lighthouse in the distance.

We went to the show, enjoyed dinner, and watched more football by the pool before calling it a night.

Day 2- At Sea

Day 2 of our cruise was at sea. We decided to sleep in, which meant we got up at 7AM instead of 630AM.

We enjoyed the ocean views at breakfast.

I’m not sure if you can tell from this picture, but in the distance, you can see Cuba.

We sat by the pool, drank more girl drinks, and enjoyed the sun (With sunscreen on of course)

The guys belly flop competition was fun/painful to watch.

Huck tried out the Flowrider.

The crashes were the best part. The Flowrider is only open for a few hours at a time. I didn’t have enough time to run to the room and change before they closed. I was not about to try it in just my swimsuit. Having my bottoms ripped off in front of everyone did not sound appealing! No matter how much fun it looked.

After the Flowrider, it was nap time. I’m not sure if it was the alcohol earlier in the day or the rocking of the boat, but I started feeling sick before dinner. I took some Dramamine, and prayed I did not have a repeat of our fishing trip.

Huck looked really good though!

We hung out with the couples at our table for a while and called it a night.

Day 3-Belize

We booked our excursion through the ship. While in Belize, we decided to go cave tubing and ziplining through the jungle.

We took an hour long bus ride west, into the heart of Belize. Once we arrived, we suited up for the zipline.

Once we finished, it was time for lunch.

It’s not every day you get to have lunch in the jungle. Or eat plantains and spaghetti together!

After lunch, we changed, grabbed our tubes, and walked for about 30 minutes to the entrance of the caves.

After the tubing was over, we made our way back to the boat. We made it back a few minutes before the last tender, so we didn’t get to walk around Belize City. We didn’t even have time to buy a cheap souvenir.
