Honeymoon Part 2

Check on Part 1 of our cruise.

Day 4- Cozumel

Our excursion for Cozumel wasn’t until 12:15, so we had a few hours to kill after breakfast.

We started off with a game of miniature golf.

After Huck beat me, we walked around Cozumel. There was not much in walking distance besides shops, so we decided to have a snack and beer at Senor Frogs.

A lady made us some nice hats to wear while we ate our nachos.

After lunch, it was time to meet our group for our All Terrain Xrail adventure. We took a 15 minute van ride to Wild Tours and went over the rules. One poor couple thought they were going on a train ride because of the “Xrail”. Instead, they discovered we would be riding dune buggy through the jungle, on some very bumpy roads.

The dune buggies did not have power steering, so all the guys drove while the girls road as passengers. Huck was having a hard time steering through some of the rocky areas, so I’m glad he was the driver!

The guide told us the beginning was a little muddy. We drove slowly through the mud, but I still got a little dirty.

For the first half of our trip, our cart… sucked. It would not keep up with the people in front of us. We both wanted to go faster, but something was wrong. After our first stop, they changed our sparkplugs. Our cart worked perfectly after that!!

Helmet Hair!

We stopped at Jade Cavern. We were told we could swim if we wanted too. After one look at the murky water and the smell of sulfur, our whole group said “No thank you!”

The area in the picture above was 65-75 feet deep!

Back to more Mexican Massages!

We stopped at a cave before we made our way to the mud.

Huck and I discussed how we wanted to hit the mud, fast or slow. We both agree fast was the only option.

Most of the other couples drove through the mud slowly, so they wouldn’t look like us. After spending 30 minutes trying to washing mud off, it probably wasn’t the best idea. We had fun though!! I, luckily, still had the water bottle from one of our stops to wash my month off. Otherwise, I looked like I had a beard, too!

We both decided to just throw away our muddy clothes. They were not worth trying to save.

After changing, we made our way back to the boat, just in time to get back on the before we left port.

This picture was pre-mud!

DAY 5- At Sea

We planned to do all the boat activates Wednesday to keep us busy while at sea. The whole day seemed nonstop.

Frist I tried the Flowrider.

That wipeout was nothing compared to the boogie board. I have bruises all over from it! I will spare you the horrible pictures.

We rocked climbed.

I kind of veered off to the harder section for awhile, but we both made it to the top.

Huck did the Flowrider again, too.

We watched an ice skating show, before getting ready for dinner.

Our table liked to eat. Some nights, people would order two main courses and multiple starters. Huck and I would usually ordered a starter each and one to share, sometimes more. I was not impressed with the food on this cruise. It was OK, but nothing stands out as being great! Dessert was horrible every night, too. I usually ordered an extra starter in place of my dessert.

This was Pumpkin Soup. I would like to try to make something like this at home.

Huck ordered 2 Caesar salads every night. That was his favorite!

Our bar guy made sure to have a good selection of craft beer on the table every night for the boys. He went to all 17 bars, on the ship, to find what was left. He told us for Europe cruises, they carry more craft beer, but American cruise typically just have the domestics like Bud Light and Miller.

IMG_3732

And our waitress had a bottle of crushed red pepper on the table every night as well.

IMG_3733

Our serves was great, but again, the food wasn’t impressive! That was probably why we ordered so many items!

IMG_3734

Our table group was awesome. One couple was from California and the other lives in Delray (30 minutes south of us).

Each of our excursions had one of the couples on it, so we got to know them better and after dinner we usually would all hang out. On the last night, we all exchanged emails, so we can keep in touch. I think we talked the Delray couple into doing the Tap N Run Race with us.

We enjoyed our Honeymoon. It was nice spending time together and not worrying about work. It was relaxing and stress-free. What any good Honeymoon should be!

I’ll leave you guys with a picture of the Sexiest Man in the World… My Husband Smile
