The Great Flood of 2012

Last night was eventful.

Huck went to beer class; I was being lazy, and didn’t feel like going. Right after Huck left, it started raining. A few minutes later, it was raining so hard, I couldn’t see the trees right off our balcony. It rained like that for about an hour. And it was thundering so bad!

I sat on the couch, reading and drinking wine. It was the prefect couch time weather.

When Huck came home, he told me to look outside.

Our street was flooded. This picture was taken after the water started going down. Our neighbor said it was 6 inches higher. All the small cars, outside our apartment, were flooded.

Sorry for the crappy picture, but the water is over the curb!

Jupiter received over 7 inches of rain in less than an hour.

This morning, Huck even found mulch in the door jam of my SUV. Luckily, water did not leak into the car.
