Hangover Food

I would like to start this post by saying No, I do not have a hangover this morning. It is, after all, only Thursday. But I wanted to make sure you had a good recipe for your weekend hangover.

If you are an avid reader of LF&B, you know I’ve had my fair share of hangovers. There have been a few, I just drank to much, and I’m having a hard time getting going, and some, I’m never drinking again (Those are few and far between and I’m usually to worthless to do anything at that point)

Today, I’m going to share one of my favorite hangover foods. If you have spent the night at my house, after a night of drinking, you’ve had my potato hash before. (Even if you just picked at it for an hour, Shelly! 🙂

I’m not sure how this recipe came about. Maybe, from living with a house full of guys and needing something I could throw together quick to feed lots of people? I really can’t remember.

However it came about, it has now become a staple in our house. I love this recipe for so many reasons. One, it’s not really a recipe. You can use whatever food you have on hand. Two, You can make more or less in about the same amount of time. Three, it’s just good food!

Potato Hash and Egg

I cheat and precook the potatoes in the microwave a few minutes before adding to the pan. When I’m hungover and hungry, I do not feel like waiting 30+ minutes for potatoes to cook. Just make sure you do not over cook them. They become to soft.

I need a night of drinking, so I can make this!

Delays in Blogging

In case you were wondering, I did not forget about my ceremony recap. I have it almost complete, but I’m waiting until Saturday to get a few more pictures. All the ceremony pictures I currently have, are over Huck’s shoulder. Saturday, I was talking to my friend about my wedding pictures, and he told me he took some at the wedding too. He had some really great shots of both of us. I was so excited to see them and can’t wait to share.

They are having a pig roast Saturday. I’m planning to download them, then and have the post up Monday, hopefully.

We are both excited about Saturday. Huck has been helping Nate with the pit this week.

We decided on Cuban/Caribbean themed sides to go with the whole pig they are cooking. I volunteered to make salad, mango salsa, plantains, and BBQ sauce. I can’t wait!

Oh, I forgot to tell everyone, I’M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! 🙂 I registered for my first blog conference. It’s a food blog conference, too. I consider myself a food blogger, but all these people are solely food bloggers. I looked at recaps from last year, and the 20+ I’ve looked at, they only blog about food. I consider my blog more of a lifestyle/journal/self absorbed blog with food. I’m so excited about going, though. And of course, I’ll share everything about my trip with you guys!

But for now, I need to get to work!

    1. I know. I thought back on the night while I was doing that post. It wasn’t nearly as bad as the Athens night. Who’s idea was it to drink until 730AM?? I felt horrible for a week after that!
