CARROT CAKE POPS WITH BROWN ALE

Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a great day.

We made it home Friday. It was nice to be in my own bed. Some of our friends in Florida, invited us to their annual Easter Beach Party.

I woke up early to finish my Cake Pops (I’ll get to them in a moment) and deviled eggs. Three house later, I finally finished. We left our house around 11AM. We had to stop by Winn Dixie for some meat to cook on the grill and some adult beverages.

If you ever want to feel trashy, go to the grocery store at 11:30AM on Easter Sunday, while everyone looks like they just left church, and buy a 4 pack of 16oz PBR.

I told my sister that story and she asked me why I was buying beer so early. Really Tabby? Don’t you read my blog? 😉

I made Easter Egg Deviled Eggs and Carrot Cake Pops with Beer to take with us.

The Cake Pops were a nightmare to make, BTW! My friend, Shelly, told me how to make cake balls/pops a few years ago. She made it sound so easy. HAHA!

I shaped some into balls and others into carrot. I dipped the “carrots” in the orange white chocolate and dipped the tops in green.

Messy! Huck was kind enough to help me.

The melted chocolate was a little to thick, so I added beer to help thin it out. It made coating the balls easier.

Ugliest cake pops/balls ever! I saved a few pretty ones, so I’ll try to get better pictures tomorrow.

While working on the Cake pops, i soaked the white part of the hard boiled eggs in a mixture of food coloring and water.

I think this would be a cool idea for Christmas, too. Just make the green and red darker.

The end result.

I quickly placed my cake pops on the table and ran away. I didn’t want to credit for the ugly “Cake Meatballs” as Morgan called them. The eggs didn’t look to bad. I admitted to them.

Today was a good day spent with good friends.

Now, I’m off to bed. Goodnight!
